アクセサリーブランドBiju mamの店舗設計。

世界各地の職人が作る、天然石を使用したアクセサリー。その渋谷の店舗デザインを担当。構想をしていく中で工場より鉱物の原石を送ってもらえるということになり、その鉱物を使用したオリジナルのタイルを制作し、什器に貼り込んでいくこととなった。送られてきたブリキのケースと開けた時の異国の香りで、現地の職人さんたちに思いをはせる。それと同時に使用して古くなった工具なども一緒に送ってもらい、それも使用することとなった。

Store design for accessories brand bujumam.

Accessories using natural stones made by artisans from all over the world. I was in charge of designing the Shibuya store. During the conceptualization process, it was decided that the factory would send us raw mineral stones, and we would create original tiles using the minerals and paste them on the fixtures. The tin case and the exotic aroma when opened made me think of the local craftsmen. At the same time, we were sent old tools and other items that had been used for a long time, and we decided to use them as well.

鉱物を選別し、ある程度の配置計画をして固めていく。実際に什器に貼りこむ作業は一点一点のタイルを見ながら我々自ら行った。

Minerals were sorted and solidified with a certain amount of layout planning. The actual work of attaching the tiles to the fixtures was done by ourselves, looking at each tile one by one.

全体的に白ベージュの空間にし、鉱物の断面がより強調されるデザインに。鉱物と一緒に送ってもらった工具は、アクリルに封入し、棚のオブジェとして活用した。

The overall design of the space is white beige to better emphasize the cross sections of the minerals. The tools that were sent with the minerals were enclosed in acrylic and used as shelf objects.
