東京・新木場の木材倉庫をリノベーションしたCASICAでのAtelier maticの個展。CASICAでは和家具を扱っていることもあり、これまでとは一味違う和家具を用いてのインスタレーションとした。和家具のみでは重さが感じられるので、サイズを合わせた白いステージを準備し、その上に家具を乗せて展示什器として使用。中央にはジュラ紀の石材、ジュラストーンを天板として使用。アクリルや色のついた作品が、和家具とは相反するようで意外にも調和している。

Atelier matic’s solo exhibition at CASICA, a renovated wood warehouse in Shinkiba, Tokyo, was a different kind of installation using Japanese furniture, as CASICA handles Japanese furniture. Since the Japanese furniture alone seemed heavy, we prepared a white stage of the same size and put the furniture on it as an exhibition fixture. In the center, a stone from the Jurassic period, jura stone, was used as a top panel. The acrylic and colored works seem to be at odds with the Japanese furniture, but they are surprisingly harmonious.
